He's been charged with multiple felonies from the s and a recent sexual assault. Nicholas Bailey II was apprehended Tuesday night. Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Capt.
Gary Hood said Bailey Tuscqloosa into a woman's apartment at Aspen Village and tried to rape her. He then allegedly pointed a gun at her boyfriend and demanded money. Police say Bailey fled the scene but officers found him near the Heights of Skyland Apartments. Bailey allegedly shot at them after a short pursuit.
They returned fire, hitting him in the arm and leg. He was subsequently charged under arrest warrants for two counts of attempted rape, three counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of attempted murder and j count of first-degree kidnapping.
Those charges referred to Tuesday night's events. A woman said she was getting out of her car when a male pulled a gun on her and forced her back in. She said he made her drive to different locations and sexually assaulted her.
Police say he eventually left her behind and drove off in her car. It was found abandoned near the original kidnapping scene. Investigators have identified Bailey as that suspect.
